Q1 Labor Partner Survey Results + Program Updates
April 21, 2021
In January we added a brief survey to this newsletter with the intentions of creating a little dialog. And we did get…a little. To those of you who responded: Thanks for being the early adopters! While we really didn’t receive enough to be truly representative of the group, we hope you find the results interesting. We also encourage you to take this quarter’s survey here.
1. Q: Have you worked with any member of the EMC Quality team in recent projects?
A: A limited number of responses were provided with most having said that they had not worked with the EMC Quality team.
2. Q: EMC provides enough project support and resources to ensure success.
A: Here again there were limited responses, but most respondents said they either agreed or strongly agreed.
3. Q: EMC sets pricing targets that are achievable.
A: Responses here varied with 50% agreeing and the other 50% were split between neutral and disagree. Again, while this is a small sample set and likely not representative of the whole, we recognize this as an area for continued focus.
4. Q: Does the RFQ documentation provide a clear understanding of project needs?
A: With 75% “yes” responses and 25% “no,” we feel that we are doing a reasonably good job of providing a clear understanding of project needs, but there is an opportunity for improvement here as well. If you have suggestions about what can be improved in our RFQ communication tools and materials, please let us know.
Again, to those of you who provided a response to the Q1 survey, thank you for the input. For those who did not and feel that they now may have some feedback, please reach out to an EMC team member to share that with us AND take advantage of this latest opportunity to provide feedback. Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts here.
Lift Program Update
The EMC national lift program launched in late February. As a reminder, this is a national contract with United Rentals that provides rates for the most common equipment used within our projects. United Rentals has over 2,500 locations and we expect they will be able to meet most needs. There will be exceptions and we will address those as we go.
Most feedback at this point has been very positive, and the team at United Rentals is ready to support all of us in making this a game changer for the work we are doing together for our customers. Thank you for your participation in the program and for all the good questions you’ve asked as we have gotten the program off the ground.
Tiered Program Update
We have been talking about the tiered labor partner network actions we are taking, and this month marks a key next step with new Monthly reports that are generated and distributed to partners who managed two or more projects during the month. These will be a key to gathering data and supporting our ratings for labor partners. If you have questions about any of the information received in your reports, please reach out to the project manager listed in your report or contact me directly at 952-542-7966 or jloheit@emcllc.com.
