Ready for 2021?

January 20, 2021
No topics.

While the pandemic made 2020 a year most people are ready to put behind them, there are some positive milestones EMC's Labor Partner Network achieved.

  • Projects were completed in over 2,000 cities across the United States
  • 252 partners worked with EMC to install energy efficient lighting and advanced controls
  • 206 partners worked with EMC to complete service calls
  • Candela celebrated its 15th year of partnership with EMC
  • EMI celebrated its 13th year of partnership with EMC

We are also expanding resources and programs to strengthen our position in the market and help drive higher quality and greater business opportunities for EMC and our partners in 2021.

Quality Team Update

EMC's Quality team has been busy assisting you through Day 2 calls, call support during project installation activities, and follow up site visits to help ensure projects are completed to customer specifications. Re-introduced in late 2020, engagement of these key resources has already increased.

Site support has been provided at Macy's, Prologis, Albertson's, Walgreens and Davita Dialysis, to name a few. We've made several in-flight adjustments, saving thousands of dollars in go-back costs.

National Lift/Equipment Program Launches in Q1

In 2021 a national lift program through EMC's equipment rental partner, United Rental, will help ensure EMC realizes a more competitive position on bids. Not only will this partnership provide a stable rate nationwide, it will also ensure standard equipment that meets most EMC project needs is available when our teams are ready to go.

With over 2,500 locations nationwide, United Rentals is ready to work seamlessly with you to meet project needs. We are just beginning to roll out this program, so watch for more details in the coming weeks and in materials that will accompany RFQs.

Tiered Labor Partner Network Structure

EMC's success as a business depends on the solid working relationships we have with you, our labor partners. It's vital we share the same vision of what customer success looks like and maintain clear, frequent communication about what's working and what isn't.

To differentiate EMC in the market and provide a consistent level of quality to our customers, the work we do with our labor partners must also continue to improve. We need to look for new and better ways to deliver quality results together.

We have many labor partners that been consistently high performers in delivering quality projects and in partnering with EMC to improve our work. It is our hope to increase the number of labor partners delivering this level of work.

To recognize you, as well as partners that are on the rise and partners that may need additional support, we are working to establish a new, tiered system for our entire network. This will be based on:

  • Partner profiles that clarify your capabilities, coverage and capacity to perform the work
  • Data gathered from each project completed
  • Factors we see as the keys to success

Higher performing partners will be rewarded for their efforts. More specific information regarding the tiers and tracked measurements will be coming later in Q1.

We leave 2020 grateful for you and all that you did to change and adapt to working in unprecedented times. We look forward to working with you to continue the positive evolution in how we serve our customers in 2021.
