Business Meeting, shaking hands

Trade ally.

Perhaps you’ve heard the term, but what does it mean and why is it important to you?

Utilities nationwide have developed numerous trade ally networks for their energy efficiency programs. A trade ally is a company that can offer energy efficiency services to end use customers. If you don’t have a specific contractor in mind, most utilities will refer you to their trade ally network as a starting point.

These contractors typically go through training on the specific program and are knowledgeable on the latest incentives. They are also the first to receive updates on program changes and bonuses.

Some utilities, such as Tennessee Valley Authority, even require that you use a registered trade ally for your energy efficiency upgrade. It is in your best interest to work with a trade ally as they are going to know the ins and outs of the program, be able to advise on any specific guidelines and will have the greatest visibility to program updates.

EMC is currently registered as a trade ally with utilities nationwide. Each year we renew our status and go through all necessary training in order to be up to date on the latest incentives and specific program processes for our customers. This allows us to deliver the incentive expertise you need to achieve optimum value from your lighting projects.
