Plymouth, MN (December 15, 2015) – Turnkey lighting conversion and service solutions provider Energy Management Collaborative (EMC) was recognized this week by Duke Energy for Most Paid Custom Lighting Applications in the State of Indiana in 2015. The custom applications totaled over $150,000 and saved EMC retail customers 1.2 million kWh annually.
“We are excited to be recognized for the work we’ve done with the Duke Energy Smart $aver Incentive Program,” said EMC Manager of Customer Incentives Katie Quam, who accepted the award at Duke Energy’s Smart $aver Trade Ally End of Year Appreciation Event in Indianapolis, Indiana, last week. “We pride ourselves on maintaining strong relationships with our utility partners. To date, our work with Duke Energy has helped us deliver more than $240,000 in incentives to EMC customers in the region.”
EMC and Duke Energy saved customers 28% of their total project value through incentives offered in 2015 while the nationwide average for incentive project value is typically 10-15%. The resulting annual energy savings of 1.2 million kWh is the equivalent of removing 827 metric tons of carbon dioxide from the environment.
“Through the Duke Energy Smart $aver Incentive Program EMC delivered significant value to our Indiana business customers who had unique lighting needs that were outside of Duke’s standard prescriptive incentive programs,” said John Loheit, director of marketing and customer incentives for EMC. “Duke’s ability to go beyond their prescriptive programs truly maximized savings for EMC customers in 2015—and we look forward to more of this work in the future.”
Duke Energy is the largest electric power holding company in the United States, serving a population of 7.3 million customer accounts covering 95,000 square miles in the Southeast and Midwest United States.
